We're building Brisbane's best infill subdivision crew. If you care about doing quality work, being part of a tight team, and actually finishing what you start — we want to talk to you.
We're not a company that treats operators as interchangeable. Show up, dig a hole, go home, get replaced next week.
We're not a company that chases every low-margin job and burns out the crew to break even.
We're not a company where the office says one thing and the site does another.
We're not a company where your work gets torn up because someone else dropped the ball.
We're a specialist subdivision civil contractor. That means you work on complete projects from start to finish — not random one-day jobs with no context.
We're selective about the projects we take on. We'd rather do fewer projects well than chase volume.
We're a crew where communication is clear, expectations are honest, and the standard is high — because that's what makes the work satisfying.
We're growing, and the right people will grow with us.
No egos. No silos. The crew backs each other and the office backs the crew. We win together or we fix it together.
Good enough isn't good enough. We look for better ways to do things — on site, in systems, in how we communicate. Every week.
Take ownership of your work. If it's got your name on it, make it something you'd drive past and point at. That's the standard.
We work alongside engineers, planners, and developers as partners. Your professionalism on site directly builds those relationships.
Even when it's harder. Even when no one's watching. If something isn't right, say so. If you made a mistake, own it. That's how trust is built.
You'll work across our subdivision projects operating 5T to 25T machines and driving tippers. This isn't random residential jobs - you'll be part of a coordinated civil program from bulk earthworks through to final trim. You need to read plans, work to survey marks, and take pride in clean, accurate work. Experience with drainage, sewer, and service installation is a strong advantage. Relevent tickets and Minimum HR truck license are essential.
You'll be on the ground across our subdivision projects — setting up, assisting operators, working in trenches, laying pipe, placing aggregate, and doing the hands-on work that holds the program together. This role suits someone who wants to learn civil construction properly, is physically fit, turns up reliably, and takes direction well. If you want to grow into an operator role, this is where you start.
Subdivision civil projects run for weeks to months, not random one-day callouts. You get continuity, context, and the satisfaction of seeing a project through from start to finish.
You'll always know what's expected, what the plan is for the week, and how the project is tracking. No guesswork.
We're a tight crew that works together, solves problems together, and holds each other to a high standard - because that's what makes the work good and the days better.
We're building something in this industry. If you prove yourself and want more responsibility, there's a path here - whether that's running sites, mentoring new crew, or developing into a project coordinator role.
When you work on a subdivision from demolition through to plan sealing, you can drive past that street five years later and say "my crew built that." That means something.
PKM is deliberately building toward being the best infill subdivision contractor in Brisbane. Not the biggest - the best. The people who join now will shape what that looks like.
A day on site: sieving topsoil on a 1-into-2 infill subdivision in Brisbane, while Phil talks through plans with the engineers.
We work hard. The standard is high. We expect you to show up on time, communicate clearly, take ownership of your work, and give a damn about the result.
If you're looking for a company where you can coast, this isn't it. If you're motivated purely by the hourly rate and nothing else, we're probably not the right fit.
But if you're the kind of person who takes pride in clean work, who wants to be part of a crew that's building something, and who gets genuine satisfaction from seeing a project go from dirt to done — then we'd love to hear from you.
Send us a message with your name, what role you're interested in, and a brief summary of your experience. No formal CV required — just tell us who you are and what you're about.
